Philip Keijoh is a bookkeeper for a hoofbeast race betting company.
Biography
On Alternia, Philip was raised by his waterhoofbeast lusus, Superfecta. Superfecta is naed after a horse race betting term for correctly betting on which horses will win 1st through 4th place in order.
Philip is a troll with an interest in the Blind Prophets. He keeps a binder with information on them deep in his spreadsheet modus.
Philip often hires warmblood psionics to make certain hoofbeasts for better or worse in races and to predict who the winners will be.
Creation & Concept
Philip was inspired by the sleezeball with a heart of gold trope. Fae is very much a sleezeball and knows it, but has surprisingly good ethics by Alternian standards when it comes to consent.
Typing Quirk
Philip writes his sentences as a math equation resulting in a percentage. Examples below:
(the chances of me changing my mind)+(you making a compelling argument)/(my ability to not give a fuck) = .5% chance of taking back what I said
(ha)^2+(that was funny)-(now give me my money = 100% threat
(that makes sense)x(You’re my friend)^2/(Hiiiii pal!) = 25% discount
Etymology
Name
According to Behind The Name, Philip means friend of horses, alluding to how because fae helps run bets on horse races. Keijoh is based on the Finnish name Keijo, which, according to Behind The Name, means elf or fairy. It’s because fae uses fae pronouns and tends to be tricky in deals like fairies are.
Trolltag
Hazardous meaning dangerous. Also a reference to the phrase “hazard a guess” meaning to make a risky guess. Sibylline meaning related to a sybil (a type of female prophet). Together they mean someone dangerous who is connected to prophets and someone who makes risky guesses due to prophets.
